G-Shock Challenge | 3D Animation
This animation was done as a part of Vida de Motion's C4D Hero motion course. The goal of the piece was to create a visual and sound concept based on the watch's color and audience segment. In my approach, I chose the color blue, giving the idea of a tough yet technological watch. The time limit (of around 5 seconds) demanded the use of an efficient and strong audiovisual language.
PROCESS AND STILLS
I started by looking for references, planning the number of scenes, and visualizing the main camera movements in a rough storyboard. From that I did a first pass of the animation in Cinema 4D and did some iterations, refining the animation in each step. Lastly, I worked on the look, materials, and lighting to achieve in more dramatic visual style based on only two colors - blue and black. I used Octane Render. The post-production work was done in After Effects and the sound design in Audition.
Thanks for checking this project out!
